The Honey Pull: Harvesting and Early Winterizing - September 13th 2025
This warm and dry summer is coming to an end. It is time to pull all the honey and winterize the bees. Come learn how to take honey from the bees so it can be extracted off site. We will determine how much honey the bees have, how much we can take, and if we need to feed before the fall and winter arrive. Additionally, we will begin the winterizing process and show you how to get a work with different colonies to give them the best chance to survive the winter. We will also do mite checks to see if our treatments last month worked. There is a lot going on but this is a crucial time that will help get your bees to be the healthiest going into winter, especially the bees that will form your winter cluster.
We are still working on our online sign up options. To register for this class, please call (425-432-1213) or email (beesintheburbs3@gmail.com).
