Nuc & Package Deposits Now Open
Thank you for your interest in reserving a Nuc (Nucleus Colony) or Package of bees with us for the 2026 season! We are excited to help you get started or expand your apiary.
To reserve your bees, a $50.00 deposit is required for each Nuc or Package ordered. The deposit must be received at the time of your reservation to secure your Nuc or Package. Please be aware that this deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable; the only exception for a refund is if the Nucs or Packages become unavailable. The total cost for a Nuc will be $200.00 and a Package will be $180.00, with the remaining balance due upon receipt of your bees.
You can place your deposit in two ways: by calling us at 425-432-1213, or by stopping by the store during our hours, Monday through Sunday, 9 AM - 5 PM, to pay with cash or card. We are currently working on an online reservation system, which will be available soon.
The estimated delivery date for Nucs and Packages is a wide range: mid-April to early June. We are at the mercy of Mother Nature and can never guarantee an exact arrival date, as we must ensure the bees are in the best shape to arrive and thrive. We will contact you exclusively via email when the bees arrive to schedule your pickup time; please avoid calling the store during this busy period to allow us to manage logistics effectively.
It is critical to have your equipment ready to transfer the bees the same day as pickup to assure the best chance of survival. We can only hold the Nucs for a couple of days after delivery, and Packages must be picked up within 24 hours of delivery.
If you are within a 20-mile radius of the store, we offer a delivery and set-up service for $75.00 for the first nuc, and $50.00 for any additional nucs at the same address. We can only guarantee the bees from our hands to yours; we do not guarantee them after they leave our location with you. If you wish to inspect your bees prior to pickup, please schedule an appointment 24 hours in advance of your pickup time.
Finally, keep in mind that your bees will need food when you take them home. We offer a 5-gallon food-grade bucket of bee syrup, complete with the lid, for $40.00. Pre-order your bucket, and we’ll have it ready for you with your bees.
